A Princeton woman has pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular homicide in an August 2013 crash in Andover that killed a former Cambridge coach.

Authorities say Christina M. Rockstroh, 43, had methamphetamine in her system at the time of the crash. She was sentenced to 48 months in prison, the Anoka County attorney's office said Wednesday.

Rockstroh's SUV was heading north on Round Lake Boulevard near 174th Avenue in Andover when it crossed the centerline and hit Gary R. Christofferson's car head-on.

Several witness saw her car swerve a few times into oncoming traffic before crashing into Christofferson's car, who was heading southbound on the same road, the attorney's office said.

Christofferson, of Isanti, died at the scene on Aug. 26, 2013. He was 62.

Christofferson was a former teacher at Cambridge Middle School who coached football and baseball at Cambridge-Isanti High School. He began teaching in the school district in the mid-1970s before leaving in 1999. He had worked as an advocate for teachers with Education Minnesota for 14 years, most recently for educators in the St. Francis and Anoka-Hennepin school districts.

Rockstroh was taken to the hospital after the crash and treated for noncritical injuries. A blood test showed that she had meth in her system at the time of the crash, the county attorney's office said.
