Rain and Mountain Snow in the Northwest

Wet weather will return to the Northwest today. A storm system advancingonshore in the Pacific Northwest will send drenching rain along the coast fromnorthern California to Washington by this afternoon.The system will press inland tonight into Wednesday, spreading snow across muchof the Intermountain West. Accumulations of 1 to 3 inches can be expected fromthis storm from northern Nevada and Utah into eastern Oregon and Idaho, withupwards of a half a foot in parts of the Cascades and northern Sierras.
