Rain to Expand across Midwest

September 20, 2009 at 12:25PM

The stubborn storm that has been churning across the South most of this weekwill finally push northward starting on Sunday. The Midwest is next in line toreceive the storm's wet weather. The steadiest rain accompanying the storm will spread over the Ohio Valley onSunday, threatening to ruin outdoor plans. Some rain and thunderstorms willalso expand to Iowa and the Chicago area this day. By Monday, the wet weatherwill likely encompass the entire central and eastern Great Lakes.

The good news for the Midwest is that the storm will not linger overhead aslong as it has across the South.
