This will be the first North American stadium trek for the German hard-rockers known for their pyro-fueled concert spectacles and fiery industrial metal featuring German lyrics.
Formed in 1994 in Berlin, Rammstein will visit only seven U.S. cities plus Montreal and Mexico City. Tickets for the originally scheduled Sept. 3 date at the Vikings stadium will be honored in 2022. Tickets will go on sale again Friday.
At this point, Green Day's Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer at Target Field Aug. 23 may be the lone stadium concert this summer in Minneapolis. Guns 'N Roses are still listed for Target Field for July 16, but Twins officials have indicated the concert will be rescheduled. Country superstar George Strait is set for Nov. 13 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Next year's rescheduled gigs include shows at U.S. Bank stadium with Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison and Joan Jett Aug. 14 and Kenny Chesney and Florida Georgia Line at a date to be announced later. No word yet on a new booking for the Rolling Stones, who were slated there last May.
