Raptor center public celebration

What: The Raptor Center will release rehabilitated birds into the wild, while celebrating the center's 40th anniversary. Activities include hay-wagon tours, apple picking, children's activities and opportunities to meet the center's education birds. • When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Birds released at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. • Where: Carpenter-St. Croix Valley Nature Center, 12805 St. Croix Trail S., Hastings. • Cost: Free. Bring used inkjet printer cartridges to benefit the center's Recycling for Raptors program. No pets.
