The Saints set a blistering pace with hard-throwing Jhoan Duran striking out six in three innings in his first start, but the Saints lost 5-1 to Indianapolis on Saturday night at CHS Field.

Duran, who topped 100 miler per hour with his fastball, gave way to Juan Minaya, who struck out five in three innings but surrendered a go-ahead home run to Hunter Owen in the fourth inning as Indy took the lead for good. Saints pitchers recorded a season-high 15 strikeouts.

Kevin Kramer, who hit a decisive two-run homer in the 10th inning of a 6-4 Indy victory on Friday night, drove in two more runs, and Joe Hudson also homered for Indianapolis.

Winner Chase de Jong pitched four-hit ball for six innings, striking out six for the Indians. Jimmy Kerrigan homered for the second consecutive night for the Saints.
