Saints held to one hit in loss to Columbus Clippers

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Four Columbus pitchers combined to limit the St. Paul Saints to one hit in the Clippers' 3-0 victory on Thursday.

Jimmy Kerrigan's single with one out in the fifth inning was the only hit for the Saints (20-24). The Clippers retired the final 14 Saints hitters in order.

Columbus (21-23) took a 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI-single by Franmil Reyes. In the fourth, Daniel Johnson hit a solo home run and Nolan Jones doubled in a run.

St. Paul's Andrew Albers gave up six hits in six innings.
