Jax Griffin pitched the first five innings for the Saints (3-5) and got the win, giving up one run and five hits. Lewis Thorpe didn't allow a hit in the next three innings, and Cody Stashak pitched the last inning, giving up one hit.
The same two teams meet in the third game of the six game series on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. The Saints send Bailey Ober (0-0, 3.00) to the mound against the I-Cubs' Cory Abbott (0-1, 4.50).
