Gophers at a glance: The Gophers (11-10, 6-2 Big Ten) have won three in a row and are 5-2 in their past seven games. The offense erupted for 15 goals during the current three-game winning streak led by junior Hudson Fasching's four goals and captain Justin Kloos' three goals. Kloos has eight points in the past three games. Sophomore Leon Bristedt has scored in each of the past five games and had three assists in Friday's 5-2 victory over Michigan State. Freshman Tyler Sheehy totaled three assists in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Spartans and has five points (one goal, four assists) in the past three games.
Badgers at a glance: Wisconsin (4-10-6, 1-5-2-1) hasn't won a game since mid-December and is 0-3-1 in 2016. Two of the Badgers' four victories were against Arizona State, in its first year playing a partial Division I schedule. Wisconsin has shown improvement in the Big Ten, but has tied one and lost two overtime games. Grant Besse, a junior forward from Plymouth, is the team co-leader in points with 18 (five goals). Freshman Luke Kunin is the top goal-scorer with nine. Freshman Matt Jurusik has a 3.20 goals-against average. … Both games will be streamed on BTN2Go.
