Tonight's Bears v. Vikings game has suddenly become very important and after some scary performances in recent night games, we all have reason to be anxious. After a week of hearing about how no one took Childress's halftime tirade in Carolina seriously, how Kevin Williams has such deep thoughts as "We need to tackle better", and lots of soft chatter about how the Vikings need to run the football more, I found one refreshing quote from Sidney Rice regarding the entire current media frenzy:
"I feel like this is an attempt to divide the team. I'm here to tell you that it's not going to happen. We know what our goal is. We know what we're here for and we all have the same goal. Nothing has changed. This is just an attempt to divide the Minnesota Vikings and it won't happen."
Rice could easily get sucked into the hype around Favre/Childress or talk about his own desires to get the ball more (like most modern day elite receivers). Instead, we get this ... and that should give us confidence that somewhere underneath all of this, there is a focused and hungry team getting ready to finish strong.
