With their new "Valtari Film Experiment," timed to screen on all seven continents (including Antarctica) this weekend, the band departs from the live-performance angle of 2009's "Heima" and 2011's "Inni." Instead, they showcase short films by a slew of noted directors, matched to each of the tracks off their latest album, "Valtari." Among the renowned directors tapped for the project are Ramin Bahrani ("Chop Shop") and John Cameron Mitchell ("Hedwig and the Angry Inch") as well as noted music-video director Alma Har'el, all of whom are past Sigur Ros collaborators.
