His general approach to travel is to go to a country/state/region and ask, "Where is the weird island?" He lives in Minneapolis and enjoys cycling, sailing and the Twin Cities arts scene. As special sections editor, he also produces such issues as The Good Life, State Fair Guide and Top Workplaces.
