Two St. Cloud residents awoke early Tuesday to find that somebody had stolen electronics from their home but left behind a skull made out of Styrofoam. The skull had a pentagram carved in the forehead, police said.

The victims, who are both 18, were sleeping when somebody allegedly entered their apartment on the 1600 block of SE. University Drive around 4 a.m. and made off with a laptop computer and an electronic keyboard, said Sgt. Tim Lewellyn.

The victims discovered the theft and the skull when they got up to investigate after hearing their front door close. The skull is believed to have come from another burglary in the area, police said.

Police are investigating another nearby burglary. A suspect broke into a residence on the 1700 block of SE. University Drive around 5:20 a.m. and stole three computers while its occupants were sleeping.

Anybody with information on either burglary is asked to call St. Cloud police at 1-320-251-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-320-255-1301.
