A would-be burglar left behind considerable damage but didn't get away with any money after he broke into an ice cream shop in St. Cloud, Minn. early today.

According to police, a surveillance camera video showed a man using a crowbar to smash the front window of the Cold Stone Creamery to gain entry to the store at 3959 S. 2nd St.

The video shows the man jumping over the counter and throwing the cash registers on the floor. He also attempted to pry open the store's safe.

The culprit was unsuccessful at removing the cash registers or the safe, and fled before officers responding to an alarm arrived around 4:20 a.m., police said.

Police are investigating.

No one has been arrested.
