Stillwater's 'twinkle' parade set

December 5, 2009 at 6:29AM

Stillwater's annual holiday parade will begin Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in Lowell Park along the St. Croix River.

The "twinkle" parade will start at Dock Cafe at the south end of the park and end at the park's gazebo north of the lift bridge. A tree lighting ceremony there begins about 5:15 p.m. or within 15 minutes after that.

Activities will include Santa's arrival by fire truck and carolers, organizers said. The parade kicks off two weeks of "Hometown for the Holidays" activities at Stillwater businesses.
