Stoppoliticalcalls.org: How it works

February 2, 2008 at 3:10AM

It's free: People can register on the Political Do Not Call Registry at www.stoppoliticalcalls.org and can list one phone number.

For $1.24, they can also stop all unsolicited political communications, from calls and e-mails to door knockings and mailings.

Another option allows registrants to designate whether they want to hear only from specific groups or candidates, and how they want to hear from them. That information is sold to candidates and special interest groups to help pay for operation of the site.
