Stu's Hunt Down: Chelsea Cooley (formerly linked to Joe Mauer)
A good time.

The other day, we thought: whatever happened to Chelsea Cooley? And so we asked Stu. And here is his report. Stu? -----------------------
The Huntdown Name: Chelsea Cooley Claim to Fame, Minnesota: used to be romantically linked to Twins catcher Joe Mauer. Although she is a native of North Carolina, by Minnesota law, this does make Cooley ONE OF US. [Note: We are bound by law to link to our old Q&A with Mauer from 2006, when we asked him about Cooley, among other things]. Claim to Fame, Everywhere Else: won the Miss USA crown in 2005. Also went out there and competed in the Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe pageants. Where She Is Now: is now known as Chelsea Cooley Altman after her 2008 marriage to former minor leaguer and fellow North Carolinian Heath Altman. She is the president of StandOut Productions, an image consulting company for aspiring pageant contestants. If you're not doing anything on August 23rd (and let's be frank: you're not), you can see her on the NBC game show Minute to Win It, which is hosted by that loud, blond guy who's always driving around and eating things on the Food Network. Is She On Twitter: there are a few Chelsea Cooleys out there, but I can't say that any of them are her. If you want to keep up with what she's doing, you can always check her out on Facebook. Glorious Randomness: her husband is listed as a consultant on HBO's delightfully vulgar baseball comedy Eastbound and Down, which films in the couple's hometown of Wilmington, NC. (Note: Clip omitted here because it's just that funny and just that vulgar).
High-profile victims in Minnesota include Mike Conley of the Timberwolves and Twins co-owner Jim Pohlad.
