Five minutes into horror-shlock techno rap duo Die Antwoord's 5:45 p.m. set Sunday at the fourth annual Summer Set Music & Camping Festival in Somerset, Wis., the show really got scary as organizers took over the microphones and urged fans to seek shelter due to possible severe weather. But by 7 p.m., fans were being let back in to the concert venue.

All the music at the three-day festival at Somerset Amphitheater — about an hour northwest of the Twin Cities — has been suspended until further notice. Mouse-headed electronic dance music superstar Deadmau5 was to headline the festival starting at 9 p.m., and it is not clear if he will indeed go on.

"It seems like they're overreacting," said Jameson Wiley, 26, of St. Paul, as he headed to a friend's car in just a small trickle of rain around 6:10 p.m. No thunder, wind or dark clouds had emerged even an hour after the announcement.

Festival staff told the 15,000 or so fans to seek shelter in their vehicles until further notice. "It is your personal responsibility to stay safe," they repeatedly announced.

Largely made up of teenagers and college-age fans, much of the Summer Set crowd has been camped out since Friday in tents in the grounds around the amphitheater. The concert site is on the outskirts of the village of Somerset along the Apple River.
