Sunshine to Brighten the East on Thursday

Sunshine will return to the East on Thursday as showers head out to sea andhigh pressure builds from the west.In New York, any lingering clouds will leave early in the day allowingwidespread sunshine to prevail as humidity lowers noticeably. It will then warmto a near-normal high of 80 F.

The bright, sunny outcome will also hold true for Philadelphia throughWashington, D.C. Humidity will lower moderately as temperatures climb well intothe 80s.

Drying and clearing will proceed more slowly in eastern New England, whereBoston will still have clouds and a shower early in the day, and clouds withshowers will linger through the day over much of Maine.
