Suspect in traffic stop assault is caught in Wis.

A 20-year-old St. Paul man who is accused of assaulting a Washington County deputy sheriff during a traffic stop Thursday night was apprehended in Luck, Wis., Saturday night.

A felony arrest warrant had been issued for Tyler Robert Chute. The deputy had responded to a suspicious vehicle reported on Saint Croix Trail North in Stillwater Township when he was assaulted, Washington County authorities said. No weapon was involved.

The suspect, who had fled on foot, was arrested in Wisconsin by a Polk County Sheriff's deputy, but no other details were given.
