Are you suffering from a Halloween candy hangover?
Minnesota dentists will donate your Halloween candy to U.S. troops, give you voucher for veggies
HealthPartners' annual candy exchange aims to set record.
Here's a sweet idea on what to do with your extra loot: trade it in for a healthy treat. Minnesota dentists are offering up fruits and vegetables through the annual HealthPartners candy exchange.
Sound a bit scary?
Well consider this: your donated candy will be sent to U.S. troops through Operation Gratitude.
From now through Nov. 7, donate a pound of candy (that's the minimum donation required) and you'll receive a $5 voucher for fresh fruits and veggies at Cub Foods.
You can drop off your haul at one of 18 HealthPartners Dental Clinic locations in the Twin Cities and Central Minnesota, or at one of 3 HealthPartners Three Rivers Orthodontics sites in Anoka, Champlin and Elk River.
One more thing to help sweeten the deal: organizers of the candy drive are hoping to top last year's record — which brought in more than a half ton of Halloween goodies.
