Police in Moorhead are investigating the fatal shooting of a teenage boy.
Teen boy fatally shot in Moorhead; police and BCA investigating
Investigators say they are still trying to figure out what happened.
The shooting happened around 6 p.m. on Friday evening. A Moorhead officer on patrol in the city was flagged down and informed someone had been shot, Moorhead Police Captain Deric Swenson said Friday night.
Police interviewed another teenager who they believe to be responsible, but who was not immediately arrested.
The wounded teenage boy was found in a tree-covered area. Multiple agencies attempted lifesaving measures, but determined the boy had died. Swenson said the department is working to figure out how the shooting took place.
"We're not quite sure exactly what happened yet, and we're interviewing to get that information and what the details are," Swenson said.
The other teenager was with the boy when he was killed, but Swenson said it has not been confirmed if they were the shooter. The teenager being interviewed has been cooperative with police, Swenson said.
On Saturday, Swenson said there were no updates to pass along on the investigation.
The governor said it may be 2027 or 2028 by the time the market catches up to demand.
