The feeder: How to store bird seed

Hint: It's not inside the house

Never store birdseed inside your house. Although seed processors and dealers do their best to keep insect pests out of the seed, pests happen. And the warm air inside your house helps pests multiply. Keep birdseed in tightly sealed containers in a cool or cold place, such as a garage.
