The one visionary who predicted this whole crazy thing: Beck DeRobertis, Bring Moss Back

Uncanny.

In May of 2008, we did a blog Q&A with Beck DeRobertis, who runs the site "Bring Moss Back." It was one of the funniest things that has ever been on RandBall. And we had completely forgotten about it until Beck started following us on Twitter today -- the very day one of his missions in life was completed. We encourage you to visit his site (there's some, um, content you might want to watch out for low on the main page) and to read the original Q&A in full. We have re-established contact and will be doing a fresh Q&A in print, online or both. At the very least: look at this one particular question and answer from an interview that happened almost 2.5 years ago.

Mind? Blown.

RB: What would happen if the Vikings actually brought Moss back?

BD: I'm glad you asked that question, Michael. This is how I see it: In the next couple years, we trade with New England to reacquire Moss, teaming him with Adrian Peterson, who should be entering his prime (Purple Jesus meets the Super Freak!). Then, we sign some above par veteran QB, like Donovan McNabb, or I don't know, Brett Favre. Combine that with the already superior Vikings defense, and we've got the recipe for a Super Bowl win, my friend! Oh, how sweet that purple nectar will taste. And then, I'd like to convince Moss to star in a buddy picture with Woody Allen (who will have to be convinced, as well).

Everything but the buddy picture with Woody Allen (and the Super Bowl win) has happened. Is that next?

IS BECK DEROBERTIS STARING INTO YOUR SOUL?
