What he said Monday: Sen. Roland Burris said he reached out to friends after then-Gov. Rod Blagojevich's brother, Robert, called him before the election asking him to raise $10,000 or $15,000 for the governor.

Over the weekend: In an affidavit, Burris indicated contact with Robert Blagojevich, the governor's former chief of staff John Harris and two other close friends -- all of whom Burris had been specifically asked about by a House panel.

Jan. 8: During testimony before a Illinois House panel investigating whether to impeach Blagojevich, Burris said he remembered talking only to one aide about the seat and did not say he was hit up for donations.
