Maple Grove had three pitchers combine to strike out 10 as the Crimson beat visiting Coon Rapids 3-1 on Thursday in baseball.

Ethan Zimmerman led the way with five strikeouts in four innings. Jaeger Cossette had two in two innings and Sam Kliber struck out the side in his only inning.

Aiden McMahon led the Crimson batters with two hits, including a double, one RBI and on run scored.

Ian Nguyen of the Cardinals reached base four times on a double, single and two walks.

St. Anthony 1, St. Paul Central 0: Weston Russell threw a no-hitter, striking out 18 while allowing one walk to lead the Huskies past the visiting Minutemen. Liam Culhane drove in Samuel Mancino for the walk-off winner in the ninth inning. Culhane had two hits in the game. Cole Spitzer matched Russell zero-for-zero on the scoreboard until the Huskies got an unearned with two outs in the ninth.

Eastview 6, Prior Lake 1: The Lightning rallied for six runs in the seventh inning to defeat the host Lakers. Jack Pepin had two hits, one RBI and one run scored, Brady Steensen and Aaron Lagios had two hits and one run scored each, and Sam Groebner had one hit and two RBI for the Lightning. Dustan Green drove in PJ Dahl in the fifth inning for the Lakers.

Softball

Orono 8, Hutchinson 7 (9): The Spartans rallied to score four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat the visiting Tigers. Reagan Mieras and Grace Kallay had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored each for Orono. Aaliyah Flores had two hits and three RBI, Paige Telecky had two hits and two runs scored, Courtney Huiras had two hits and one run scored and Jaiden Mezera had two hits and one RBI for the Tigers.

Litchfield 5, New London-Spicer 0: Taylor Draeger pitched seven shutout innings to lead the Dragons past the host Wildcats. Ryanna Steinhaus had one hit and three RBI for the Dragons. Brianna Deming had two hits for the Wildcats.

Rosemount 4, Prior Lake 2: Jessa Snippes struck out 11 over seven innings to lead the Irish past the host Lakers. Snippes also had two hits. Izzy Yahr had one hit and two runs scored for the Irish. Karlie Miller struck out nine in seven innings and hit a home run for Prior Lake and Brooke Holmes reached on all four of her plate appearances.
