Wolves vs. Thunder
7 p.m. Wednesday at Target Center (BSN, 830-AM)
Timberwolves gameday: Anthony Edwards and D'Angelo Russell may return vs. Thunder
Wolves update: Coach Chris Finch said Anthony Edwards and D'Angelo Russell were trending toward playing Wednesday night. Russell missed Monday's game because of bilateral hamstring soreness. Edwards has missed the past four games because of left knee tendinopathy, but was upgraded from doubtful before Monday's game to questionable before Wednesday. Also questionable are Patrick Beverley (right ankle soreness), Taurean Prince (back spasms) and Jarred Vanderbilt (left quad contusion). All played Monday. Guard Jaylen Nowell (nasal contusion) is probable after leaving Monday's game early when an elbow from Portland's Josh Hart connected with his face.
Thunder update: Two of the Thunder's best players, Luguentz Dort and Josh Giddey, remain out. It lost to the Wolves by 37 on Friday in Oklahoma City with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring 33. Oklahoma City is 3-10 in its last 13 games. Over that stretch, the Thunder has the second-least efficient offense in the league at 103.2 points per 100 possessions per game. It has the 17th-rated defense at 113.6.
The Wolves are coming off back-to-back losses in Portland and are on a three-game losing streak.
