Timberwolves gameday: Streaking Wolves head to Orlando
The Wolves have won six games in a row.
Wolves update: Minnesota has won six consecutive games for the first time since 2004 and embarks on a three-game road trip beginning Friday. Anthony Edwards returned from a four-game absence and had 16 points in Wednesday's win over Oklahoma City. Jarred Vanderbilt (left quad contusion) missed that game and is listed as questionable, as are Edwards, Jordan McLaughlin (right groin tightness) and Taurean Prince (back spasms). Malik Beasley set a franchise-record with 11 three-pointers against the Thunder. Over his past 20 games, Beasley is shooting 45% from three-point range. Before that, he was shooting 35%.
Magic update: Orlando beat the Wolves 115-97 in November as the Wolves were in the middle of a six-game losing streak at the start of the season. The Magic has the worst record in the Eastern Conference at 17-50. Cole Anthony is its leading scorer with 17.3 points per game while Minnehaha Academy alum Jalen Suggs is averaging 12.3 points per game. Suggs is shooting 36% from the field, 22% from three-point range. Orlando has the second-worst offensive efficiency in the league at 103.8 points per 100 possessions.
The Wolves fell apart in the fourth quarter and have not won in Toronto in two decades.
