NBA's worst arrives riding five-game skid

Wolves update: The Wolves defeated the Knicks 115-104 in the first game after the All-Star break on Feb. 22. Karl-Anthony Towns did not play in this first of two games he missed after being in a car accident on his way to the airport in advance of that game. Derrick Rose led the Wolves with 20 points while Taj Gibson had 19 in Towns' absence. Anthony Tolliver had 16 points off the bench. … After Sunday's game, the Wolves begin a stretch of eight of 10 games against teams currently in playoff position.

Knicks update: An NBA-worst 13-53, the Knicks have lost their past five games, including a 102-94 loss to Sacramento in New York on Saturday. … In 15 games since coming to the Knicks in the trade that sent Kristaps Porzingis to the Mavericks, guard Dennis Smith Jr. is averaging 15.3 points per game, 2.4 more than he was averaging with Dallas, although his field-goal percentage and three-point percentage have declined. Center DeAndre Jordan also came to New York in that trade and Jordan is averaging 12.5 points and 12.5 rebounds since the trade.
