Time change safety tips

The end of daylight saving time prompts some reminders from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety: • It's fire season. Replace batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors while changing clocks.

• Adjust to more driving in the dark (and glare from low sun). Check lights and be alert for pedestrians, bicyclists and deer, which are very active this time of year.

• Pedestrians and bicyclists should also strive to be more visible and alert.
