TMZ.com is reporting that former Twin Cities basketball star and Philadelphia 76ers player Royce White is being investigated for an alleged domestic assault that took place in June.

White, who attended De La Salle and Hopkins high schools, was drafted by the Houston Rockets in 2012 but did not play after clashing with the team over the best course of treatment for his anxiety disorder. He played one season of college basketball at Iowa State.

TMZ reports that, according to Houston police, the incident is under investigation and no charges have been filed.

The alleged assault involved former girlfriend Tania Mehra, according to TMZ.

TMZ reports: "According to law enforcement, records show someone called 911 on June 22, 2013 to report a laceration above Tania's right eye. Cops say at the time, Tania claimed she suffered the injury from an 'accidental fall.' "

But last week, according to the web site, Mehra filed an incident report with Houston police saying that she lied at the time to protect White's career..
