The Twins will call up top pitching prospect Jose Berrios to make his major league debut on Wednesday against Cleveland. Also, the Twins are going to call infielder Jorge Polanco back from Rochester , and indications are that Ervin Santana will be placed on the disabled list with a strained back. Berrios, a righthander, is 2-0 with a 1.06 ERA through three outings for Class AAA Rochester, continuing a his dominance there since he promoted from Class AA Chattanooga in the middle of last season. Jose Berrios minor-league statistics The move suggests something is wrong with righthander Kyle Gibson, who struggled on Friday against Washington. There have been no indications that Gibson is injured, but the coaching staff was concerned about his results following his most recent start.. Berrios, 21, was the 32nd overall pick in 2012 out of Papa Juan High School in Bayamon, PR. He was ranked as the 26th best prospect this season by ESPN, and is considered the Twins next best prospect after outfielder Byron Buxton. Buxton, after struggling through the first three weeks of the season, was sent down to Rochester on Monday.
