Transforming Central benefit set

Amsterdam Bar and Hall to be venue for concert and silent auction.

Transforming Central, a group of involved parents working to beautify the grounds of the state's oldest high school, is hosting a benefit concert and silent auction featuring current and former Central High musicians on Oct. 29 at the Amsterdam Bar and Hall in downtown Saint Paul. The benefit is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Tickets will be $15 before the event and $20 at the door. Local musicians Sean McPherson (Heiruspecs, Dessa, Twinkie Jiggles Broken Orchestra) DeVon Gray (Heiruspecs, Brother Ali, Chastity Brown, Liminal Phase) and Linnea Mohn (Rogue Valley) will headline the entertainment. Starting off the evening's entertainment will be three student bands: The Cymbalix, Loose Ends, and Gabby Z (2015 American Idol contestant).
