Ryan Harvey of Eagan, above, was fishing for pike and bass on Bald Eagle Lake in Ramsey County earlier this month when he caught (and released) this muskie with a small single-hook spinnerbait.

During a family vacation to the Central American country of Belize earlier this month following her graduation from college, Carolyn Kane caught this 35-pound barracuda along the Belize Barrier Reef using a live sardine and large steel tackle.

Island muskie

Michael Pocrnich of Roseville caught this muskie fishing off a rock shelf extending out from a mid-Lake Vermilion island. The catch, with a length over 40 inches, was a healthy release.
