Tropics Turn Quiet after Arlene

Tropical Storm Arlene will move into the Mexican coast on Thursday, well southof Texas. However, showers and thunderstorms on the northern periphery ofArlene will bring some much needed rain to drought-stricken southern Texas.Once Arlene moves inland, no tropical development is expected across the restof the Atlantic Basin through the upcoming weekend. High wind shear across mostof the basin will be the main reason for the lack of activity.
