Tubby Smith -- coach of the year?

Many have speculated that Tubby Smith could be on the hot seat this season following a depressing end to last year and a disappointing start to this one.

But at least one person is calling him the coach of the year so far. Check this out: Big Ten Network's Tom Dienhart compliments Smith for pulling together this Mbakwe-less team and competing in the conference. (It's halfway down the page under Three Random Thoughts.) What do you guys think? Do you give Smith some credit for that and think he's doing a pretty good job? Are you suspending judgment until the end of the season? Or do you think his days are numbered in Minnesota?
