Checkout time

"Room 104" is a new scripted anthology series from brothers Mark and Jay Duplass that tells the tales of the offbeat characters who pass through a single room of a typical American chain motel. Let's just hope Norman Bates isn't involved.

10:30 p.m. Friday, HBO.

Wherefore art thou

In the finale of "Still Star-Crossed," a "shocking discovery" is revealed. But it's probably not shocking enough to win this low-rated sequel to "Romeo and Juliet" another season.

9 p.m. Saturday, KSTP, Ch. 5

Northern exposure

The awe-inspiring nature series "Wild Alaska Live" comes to an end with an episode featuring the climax of Alaska's summer feast as millions of salmon journey upriver, facing long odds and hungry predators. Also: a trek deep into the wilds for Kodiak bears, elusive wolves and nesting eagles.

7 p.m. Sunday, TPT, Ch. 2, and streaming via PBS
