TV picks for June 21-23: "Copper," Madonna, "Devious Maids," "Inside Man"
Didn't have a trillion dollars to see Madonna when she performed in St. Paul? Now's your chance to see Queen Madge in all her glory in "Madonna's MDNA Tour" (7 p.m. Saturday, Epix), filmed primarily in Miami. "Vogue," "Like a Prayer" and "Hung Up" are among the songs that take a bow.
Maid in America
Marc Cherry knows not to mess with success. The "Desperate Housewives" creator brings the same dark sense of humor to "Devious Maids" (9 p.m. Sunday, Lifetime), a snappy comedy wrapped in a mystery about a murder in Beverly Hills. It's great to see a cast heavy on Latinas. Too bad they're all playing housekeepers, many of whom try to sleep with their bosses. Let's hope executive producer Eva Longoria plans to do something about that.
Up in smoke
Morgan Spurlock trades Big Macs for weed in the premiere of "Inside Man" (9 p.m. Sunday, CNN), the news network's latest effort to broaden its appeal. Spurlock doesn't exactly toke up, but he does go to work in a medical marijuana dispensary. No word on whether staffers received free samples.
After the war
Abraham Lincoln doesn't know it yet, but he's about to have one bad experience at the theater when "Copper" (9 p.m. Sunday, BBCA) returns for a second season. Donal Logue, Alfre Woodard and Lee Tergesen are among the actors joining the cast.
