Suspicious activity. An officer responded to a report of someone trying to break into a home in the 6000 block of Gardena Lane NE. The resident had forgotten Xcel Energy was coming over for repairs.
Theft. A firearm was stolen from the glove compartment of an unlocked vehicle in the 1600 block of North Brenner Pass NE.

Animal complaint. A deer in a ditch, injured by a vehicle in the 6000 block of Egg Lake Road, was dispatched by a deputy. The property owner, given the choice of a charity removing the animal or being issued a deer tag, chose the deer tag.

Animal complaint. A resident reported a dog attempted to enter his home's doggy door in the 2800 block of Becker Road. The dog was still in the resident's backyard. An officer got the dog and brought it to the address on its collar. The dog's owner agreed to work with the neighbor to fix the doggy door.

Disturbance. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the Pickled Pig Pub, 205 Broadway St. Officers found an intoxicated man outside the business. Due to his level of intoxication, the 27-year-old man was taken to the hospital.

Suspicious activity. Authorities were notified of something floating on the St. Croix River near the Interstate 94 bridge. The area was checked and determined to be all ice. An eagle was seen eating something on the ice in the area described by the caller.

Disorderly conduct. A 31-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct in the 20000 block of Holyoke Avenue.

Suspicious person. A man walking around late at night asking to shovel driveways for money was reported in the 200 block of Hallam Curve. Authorities found the man, who admitted to using drugs approximately four hours prior — but had none on his person — and advised him to go home.

Suspicious vehicle. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle driving in the 8800 block of Holly Lane N. Officers contacted the driver and found an individual was being taught how to drive.

Alarm. Officers responded to a residential alarm at a home in the 100 block of Sunrise Court. It was found the homeowner went out to get the newspaper and forgot to shut off the alarm.

Theft. A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle in the 19600 block of W. Ford Brook Drive NW.

Drugs. A 43-year-old man was arrested for possession of fentanyl, introducing contraband into a jail and domestic assault at Mystic Lake Hotel, 2400 Mystic Lake Blvd.

Theft. A snowmobile was stolen from the yard of a home in the 20800 block of Kerry Street NW. The keys had been left in the ignition.

Weapon. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle playing loud music in the 15300 block of 18th Avenue. A 19-year-old man was arrested for carrying a firearm without a permit.
SHAKOPEE

Drugs. A 23-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at Canterbury Card Club, 1100 Canterbury Rd.

Suspicious person. A deputy responding to a report of someone in a home in the 15000 block of 113th Street arrived at the residence and was informed the person was the caller's daughter.
