The Twins recalled pitcher Shaun Anderson on Thursday before the series finale against the Boston Red Sox.

Anderson pitched in 18 games for the Giants last season, with a 3.52 ERA. The 26-year-old has appeared in 46 major league games over two seasons in San Francisco and the Twins got him in the LaMonte Wade Jr. trade during the offseason.

To make room, Cody Stashak, who pitched Wednesday, was sent to St. Paul. In six games this season Stashak has a 7.20 ERA in five innings.
