This is the second game of the season series between the teams. As many of you remember, the Twins won the first of a four-game series at Target Field on April 12, then saw the next three games get postponed. ... The Twins were 6-4 at Chicago last season. ... Joe Mauer has reached base in 22 of the 25 games he's played in and is batting .316 during his five-game hitting streak. ... Logan Morrison is the only Twin with at-bats against Lopez. He's 2-for-3 with a home run against him. ... Max Kepler is batting .318 with 10 RBI over his past 17 games.
WHITE SOX UPDATE
Infielder Yoan Moncada left Wednesday's game in the eighth inning because of a tight left hamstring suffered while running the bases. He's listed as day to day. ... Shields is coming off a start Tuesday during which he gave up a leadoff home run but settled down to throw six shutout innings after that. ... SS Tim Anderson has developed a reputation for being an instigator. Last week he howled after connecting on a leadoff HR, drawing the ire of Royals catcher Salvador Perez.
