WHITE SOX UPDATE
They swept the Twins at Guaranteed Rate Field by a combined 26-13 score in three games last week. … Keuchel and Lynn started games in that series. Keuchel improved his record to 2-1 but gave up eight hits and six earned runs. Lynn's record went to 4-1 as he gave up only two hits, one run and three walks while striking out nine. … The White Sox lead the AL Central at 24-15 after splitting a four-game home series with Kansas City. … They have the third-best batting average in MLB at .259 and third-best ERA at 3.27.
TWINS UPDATE
The Twins have the fewest victories in baseball at 13 and have won only two of their past 11 games. … They are dealing with a slew of injuries, including to several outfielders: a long-term back issue for Jake Cave, a hip strain for Byron Buxton and a wrist sprain for Alex Kirilloff. Max Kepler left Sunday's game because of a hamstring issue, and catcher/utility player Willians Astudillo left because of a contusion on his glove hand from a hit-by-pitch. Starter Kenta Maeda also dealt with groin tightness.
High-profile victims in Minnesota include Timberwolf Mike Conley and Twins co-owner Jim Pohlad.
