Two suspects were in custody following the shootings Sunday of a man and a woman in an apartment in Brainerd.

Authorities had been searching for the suspects, Tyler A. Cronquist, 23 and Nathan D. Becker, 26, throughout the evening, and at one point, police issued a news release containing the men's photos and a warning that they should be considered armed and dangerous.

Details of the arrests were not available.

Police said that the shooting incident occurred about 5 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Juniper Street, and left the man and woman — both 31 — with apparent gunshot wounds to the head. The woman was conscious and talking, but the man was unconscious, police said.

The victims were taken to a Brainerd hospital and then transferred to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where their conditions late Sunday were not known, police said in a news release issued about 10 p.m. Sunday.

Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call Brainerd police at 1-218-829-2805.
