Monday marks two months since 24-year-old Mandy Matula disappeared from her Eden Prairie home. And her family and friends are continuing the search for her.
Two months since she disappeared, search for Mandy Matula continues
Last Monday, they held a prayer rally at an Eden Prairie church and are boarding kayaks, canoes and boats on the Mississippi River in the St. Cloud area July 14 to try to find her. A police spokeswoman said law enforcement searches are continuing, too.
"We're going to keep going at it," her brother Steven Matula said last week.
Mandy Matula was last seen May 1 leaving her home arguing with her ex-boyfriend, David Roe. Her family says he was determined to get back together with her. The next morning, after Roe, 24, of Victoria, was called in for questioning, he fatally shot himself in the police parking lot. Numerous searches in Victoria, Eden Prairie and St. Cloud — where he was studying criminal justice — have turned up few leads and little evidence. Details on the July 14 search are at www.minnesotaunited.org.
