March 25, 2009 at 1:18AM

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is heading to Mexico today, beginning a series of high-level bilateral meetings. Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano will follow in early April, and President Obama will conclude the effort with a visit in mid-April. The administration blitz is intended to enhance relations and to support Mexican President Felipe Calderon, whose two-year campaign to break up the Mexican drug cartels has triggered a surge of violence that has killed 7,200 people.
