A crane moved a component of the Breakers Plunge tower into position for installation Thursday at Valleyfair amusement park in Shakopee. The 90-foot-high tower in the Soak City section of the park will offer six new water slides. Another addition to Soak City will be Barefoot Beach, an interactive family-friendly splash pad spanning nearly an acre. Valleyfair hopes to be open for the Memorial Day weekend.
