The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Minneapolis this past weekend as 49-year-old Omar Lamont Brown.

The medical examiner says 49-year-old Omar Lamont Brown died from a shot to the abdomen Saturday.
Police said they found Brown unconscious early Saturday morning in an alley on the 3500 block of Penn Avenue N. Officers and paramedics performed life-saving measures at the scene. Brown died just after 6 a.m. in the emergency room of North Memorial Health Hospital from a gunshot wound to the stomach, according to the medical examiner.
The department's homicide division said shortly afterward that its detectives were investigating the case.
"The investigation into the homicide of Omar Lamont Brown is ongoing," Minneapolis public safety spokesman Aaron Rose said in a statement Tuesday. "There have not been any arrests at this time, but the Minneapolis Police Department is following up on all leads. We ask anyone with additional information to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS."
The governor said it may be 2027 or 2028 by the time the market catches up to demand.
