Richfield police identified the 20-year-old man who was shot to death in Richfield on Saturday afternoon as Fernando Leon-Celis, and they arrested two suspects in the incident.

Authorities said that Leon-Celis died from multiple gunshot wounds. Richfield rescue personnel and Hennepin County paramedics performed CPR, but Leon-Celis was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident occurred in the 6900 block of 16th Avenue S. Police responded to reports of shots fired about 4:40 p.m., and they found Leon-Celis and four men and a woman at the residence.

The five others were arrested and questioned Saturday evening at the Richfield Police Department.

Authorities said in a statement on Sunday that three individuals were released on Sunday, and that the other two were taken to the Hennepin County jail for their involvement in the incident.

Richfield police said that the incident is still under investigation and possible charges are pending.
