Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph is off to a big start on the field this season, having caught TD passes in three consecutive games from new quarterback Sam Bradford.
Off the field, life is also pretty sweet right now for Rudolph. He and his wife, Jordan, welcomed twin girls Tuesday night. Andersyn Kate and Finley Claire Rudolph are the first children for the couple.
They released a statement Wednesday morning along with a photo of the happy family: "Jordan and I are so excited to share that the twins, Andersyn and Finley, are happy and healthy this morning after being born late last night. Thank you to everyone including family, friends, teammates, coaches and fans for all your support and well-wishes."
Rudolph also joins fellow prominent Minnesota athletes Joe Mauer and Zach Parise as a father of twins. Mauer and his wife, Maddie, had twin girls in July of 2013, while Parise and his wife Alisha's twins — one boy, one girl — were born in January of 2014.
The Vikings ended a two-game losing streak on Sunday night and provided a few callbacks of their early-season success with a dominant defense and three Sam Darnold TDs in the second half to overcome three turnovers.
