Adrian Peterson returned to Minnesota and ran for 76 yards on 14 carries. His 29-yarder in the second half moved him to sixth on the NFL's all-time rushing list with 13,701 yards. At the two-minute warning, he was shown on the scoreboard and the crowd gave him a standing ovation. "I had to hold tears back, to be honest with you," Peterson said.

MANO-A-MANO

Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes vs. WR Terry McLaurin

WHO WON?

Rhodes struggled in one-on-one coverage. McLaurin caught four of his six targets for 39 yards, and drew a pass interference penalty on Diggs at the Vikings' 2.

SEVEN FGS, ONE TD

Vikings RB Dalvin Cook scored the game's only touchdown on a 4-yard run seven seconds before halftime on a third-and goal play. The Vikings overloaded to the right side and Cook took a handoff from Kirk Cousins (8) and headed right before cutting back to the left, bulling the final yard over Redskins safety Troy Apke.
